If your domain is already registered with another provider, you can prepare the domain transfer as follows:
- Check that the requirements are met:Requirements for a Successful Domain Transfer
- Unlock your domain by disabling the domain transfer lock and private registration (WHOIS Privacy).
- Request your authorisation code, which you will need later to authorise the transfer on our end.
- Exception for .uk domains: Start the domain transfer with SimpleCloudHosting and then change the registrar tag (IPS tag) with your current provider to SimpleCloudHosting.

When you transfer your domain, usually only the domain itself is transferred.
